⚠️ Critical Warnings

Uninstalling Deletes Data

When you uninstall Notebook-Nest, it permanently deletes your folders and tasks. This happens because the extension uses Local Storage. Always export your data before uninstalling.

Solution: Use the “Export” button to save a backup JSON file.

Google Updates & Reliability

This extension reads the NotebookLM website. If Google updates their site, the extension could break.

Disclaimer: This is an open-source project. I maintain it in my spare time and cannot guarantee immediate fixes for issues caused by Google updates. Use this tool to enhance your workflow, but ensure you back up important data.

📥 Download & Install

1. Visit the Releases page to download the latest version: Visit this page to download.
2. Locate the latest Notebook-Nest version.
3. Click the download link for the CRX file.
4. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/.
5. Enable “Developer mode” at the top right.
6. Drag and drop the downloaded CRX file into the Chrome Extensions page.
7. Confirm the installation by clicking “Add Extension.”

Accessing the Dashboard

• After installation, click on the Notebook-Nest icon in your Chrome toolbar.
• This opens your Project Management Dashboard.

Adding Notes

1. Click “Add New Folder” to create a folder.
2. Use “Add Note” within any folder to include a new entry.
3. Organize your notes by dragging and dropping them.

Exporting Data

• Regularly export your data to keep a safe backup. Click on the “Export” button and save your JSON file securely.

Using Zen Mode

• Activate Zen Mode for a focused workspace. Click the Zen Mode button to hide distractions.
